The third-person shooter Helldivers 2 (also known as Helldivers II) was created by Arrowhead Game Studios and released by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Helldivers 2 is a third-person shooter as opposed to the top-down Helldivers. Fans then bombarded the video with demands for the game's release. A 12-second game trailer was posted on Twitter on August 18, 2022, however, it was eventually taken down.
Helldivers 2 was presented at the 2023 PlayStation Showcase on May 24, 2023, and is set to release sometime in 2023. A gameplay trailer was released on July 6, 2023. The ESRB rated the game M on July 30, 2023, citing "blood and gore" and "extreme violence." Playthroughs were shown during the PlayStation State of Play event on September 14, 2023. During the event, the official release date for the game was confirmed as February 8, 2024. Preorders began to be taken on September 22, 2023.
REVIEWS
The game is "a hilarious affair, throwing you best-in-class gunplay," according to Push Square's Aaron Bayne. It is also a "really epic and often cinematic experience, mixed in with one of the best co-op gaming romps currently available." He did, however, take issue with the game's matchmaking problems and crashes that have happened while playing.
